July 4, 8am - 10am, Olentangy High School
The Freedom 4 Miler is a fun 4 mile event and great way to start off your holiday! All proceeds will help support the Olentangy Orange Cross Country and Track & Field programs. First 250 runners who register will receive a t-shirt. All participants will get an event shirt, and custom finisher medal. We strongly suggest coming to advanced packet pickup, to make enhance your race day experience .

All-American Day in Delaware Planned for July 4
All the Independence Day celebration events are on Tuesday, July 4.
FIREWORKS: Fireworks will launch from the traditional location at the City’s Cherry Street property at about 10 pm.
CONCERT: Prior to fireworks, the Central Ohio Symphony will perform its traditional outdoor concert on the Ohio Wesleyan University campus at 7:30 pm. Outdoor seating will be on the Phillips Glen lawn. More information can be found here.
PARADE: The day’s activities get started with the annual parade, beginning at 11 am this year, a change from the past afternoon start. It once again is sponsored by Citizens for the 4th. The entry form can be found here. The route will be from the fairgrounds’ Liberty Street gate on Pennsylvania Avenue, to Sandusky Street, through the downtown to Wilmer Street to Henry Street.

The route travels on paved multipurpose trails through the Sports Complex property, under Cleveland Avenue, along the Westerville Community Center property, down to Heritage Park, and back to the finish/start line at the Sports Complex. Participants receive an event T-shirt, medal and other goodies. Proceeds go the Rotary’s charitable works, including our college scholarship program for local high school graduates. The Rotary Club of Westerville presents this concert on the grounds of Westerville Sports Complex, followed at dusk by a fantastic display of FIREWORKS !! The band Blue Spectrum will open the concert at 5:00 PM, with The British Invasion taking the stage at 8:00 PM, followed by the fireworks. There will also be a Food Truck Festival being held in conjunction with this event! Families are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to make an Independence Day evening of it! Admission is FREE! THE BRITISH INVASION PERFORMANCE TIME IS: 7:40 PM TO 9:50 PM
Friday, June 30 – Stars and Stripes Softball Games, 5-8 p.m., Worthington Hills Elementary. “Littles” game (age 9 and younger) starts at 5:00pm; “Tweens” (age 10-17) starts at 6:00pm; and the adult game starts at 7:00pm. No tickets or registration needed. Free hot dogs and hamburgers while supplies last!
Saturday, July 1 - Firecracker Trot 5K, Worthington Hills Elementary, Race Day Registration at 7:15 a.m. with an 8:30 a.m. start. Worthington Hills Elementary School. Race starts at 8:30am; on-site check-in begins at 7:15am. Early registration (before June 18): $15 for 18 and under; $20 for 19 and older. After June 18, all ages $25.
Sunday, July 2 - Fun Fest, 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. Worthington Hills Elementary School from 3:00pm-6:00pm. Presale tickets will go on sale in June and can also be purchased at the event.
Tuesday, July 4 - Fourth of July Parade, starting at 12:00 noon. This year’s parade theme is “Disney;” the parade committee has already received six street float entries!

Red, White & BOOM! is an experience and a tradition for over 400,000 visitors who come together each Independence Day to celebrate our country, our community and honor our military and veterans. BOOM! is a safe and FREE event which features a parade, street festival, and two stages of live music entertainment.
BOOM! is the largest single-day event in Columbus and could not be possible without all the volunteers, vendors, and sponsors who have invested in the event. And, we want you to join us!

Come race the Patriot 5k! This race is hosted by the OLHS Men’s Cross Country team and proceeds help us pay for our season. These proceeds will go towards our bussing fees, meet entry fees, uniforms, and more. In addition to the funding, we will be hosting a shoe drive, collecting pairs of shoes to distribute to people in need in our community. This tradition has been run every year since 2019 on July 4th to introduce the community to Cross Country. Kick off your Fourth of July with a spark, and come run the Patriot 5k!.
Let’s get this party started early with a 5K that benefits United Way of Licking County! Whether you are an avid runner in need of your weekend 5K or friends who want to have fun & support the community, this is the perfect event! After the run you will be treated to the best pancakes from the Pancake Man. The day continues with a car show hosted by the Street Elite Corvette Club, a craft show, and end the day with spectacular fireworks. While in Pataskala, take time to check out the beautiful shops, great restaurants, and the beautiful parks.
Get your July 4th holiday moving with the Rotary Club of Westerville’s Independence Day 5K at 8 a.m. Tuesday, July 4. As it has since 2021, the 5K will take place at the Westerville Sports Complex, 325 N. Cleveland Ave.
The race at the Sports Complex begins our day-long celebration of the Fourth, with our other dawn-to-dusk events including the big State Street Parade (10:30 a.m.), Free Concert and Food Truck Festival (5-9:45 p.m.) and Patriotic Fireworks Display (10 p.m.)
The Grove City Firecracker 5k is an event that aims to be more than just another road race. Our mission is to fuel the movement of inclusion and grow a sense of community. Taking inspiration from the positive work being done in the spirit of the “Inclusion Revolution,” Foot and Ankle Physicians of Ohio hopes to build upon that momentum and enact awareness within the greater Grove City community. 5K also features a 100 meter “Sparkler Sprint,” perfect for kids ages 3-9. All participants will earn a Firecracker 5K t-shirt.
The Granville Firecracker Five is back again! As in year’s past, there will be a 5 mile timed race and a 5k untimed fun walk/run. The event starts at 7:45am in front of the Granville High School and finishes in downtown Granville with the parade to follow later in the morning.
