Adventures in Flight Opening Weekend: Deer Haven, Friday, May 25, 5:30pm - 11pm, Deer Haven Park - Help us kick off our new Adventures in Flight summer theme with a short, tethered, ride in a hot air balloon. Rides will be offered from 6:00pm – 8:00pm.; first-come, first-served.  Explore the new exhibit inside the Visitor Center and participate in several flight activities. The Tuesday Triathlon - Free Training Event, Tuesday, May 29,  6pm - 8pm, Alum Creek State Park - Are you getting ready for an upcoming triathlon and would like the opportunity to put your training all together in a "timed" event? Then join us for "The Tuesday Triathlon" on Tuesday evening, May 29 for an unofficial official semi-organized unorganized triathlon.  Just like you, we have to get ready for multisport season so we will be practicing setting up an event, working on transition set-up, etc and coordinating our timing experience.  You can come out to Alum Creek State Park - Beach area and we will time your swim, bike and run.  NOTE: This is an unsupported event. Summer Enrichment 2018, June 4 -14, 9am - 11:45am and 12:15pm - 3pm, Olentangy School Buildings - Are you looking for an enrichment opportunity for your child this summer?  During this experience, students entering grades 1-12 will be able to take part in a fun and engaging learning environment where they choose their area of enrichment. All courses will be taught by Olentangy teachers in Olentangy buildings. Students may register for one course per session. Courses include: Animation, Choose Your Own Adventure, Coding, Cooking, Creative Writing, Cursive, Debate, Drama, Fine Motor Fun, FitLab, Game Strategy/Chess, Games Around the World, Nature Survival, Olentangy Ninja, The News Room, Visual Arts, and Webpage Design. Central Ohio Aquathon, Saturday, June 9, 7am - 10am, Alum Creek State Park - The Central Ohio Aquathlon is a great opportunity whether you are swimming in open water and finishing with a run for the first time to an experienced triathlete looking to have fun, train and improve your open water swim and challenge yourself with run after the swim. There are several distances to choose.  Aquathlon distances and schedule:  7:00 am - 2.0 mile swim + 1.0 mile run; 8:45 am - 1.0 mile swim + 1.0 mile run;  9:30 am - .50 miles + 1.0 mile run.  Must be a USAT member or purchase a USAT 1-day license for $15. Central Ohio Triathlon & Duathlon Challenge, Sunday, June 10, 7:15am - 11am, Alum Creek State Park - There is no better way to kick-off your season then with the Central Ohio Triathlon & Duathlon Challenge. Race weekend consists of multiple distance options, including the Central Ohio Super Sprint, Sprint, Olympic, and TripleTri Challenges. Paint Your Pet, Tuesday, June 12, 6:30pm - 8:30pm, Taranto's Pizzeria - Paint your favorite furry friend April 24th at Taranto's Pizzeria in the heart of Lewis Center! $35 includes canvas, template creation, brushes, paint and all other supplies! Northern Olentangy Watershed Festival, Saturday, June 16, 12pm - 3pm, Mingo Park, Delaware - The 5th annual Northern Olentangy Watershed Festival is June 16 from noon-3 pm at Mingo Park. A highlight will be the 50th anniversary of the Scenic River Act. Ohio pioneered the river conservation movement when it passed the nation’s first Scenic River Act in February 1968; with the National Scenic River Act following later that year. The Olentangy River was the third Ohio river to be designated as “scenic.” The festival will include information booths, food trucks, children’s activities, raffle giveaways, and more.  LEARN MORE

MingoMan Youth Splash-n-Dash, Saturday, June 23, 8am - 10am, Delaware State Park - Calling the youth of Central Ohio and those of the Mingoman Triathlon participants to Delaware State Park on Saturday, June 23 for a fun and fast-growing sport that combines running and swimming - the Mingoman Youth Splash & Dash. The swim will take place in the Delaware reservoir (water depth 3-4 feet) and the run on the trails around Delaware State Park.  The focus is on PARTICIPATION rather than competition. The event will expose youth participants to USA Triathlon and the exciting world of multisport! Participants will be timed but finishes are not awarded special recognition. All events within the series will be USA Triathlon sanctioned.  Event is open to youth ages 7 - 15. Age is based on age of December 31, 2018.  LEARN MORE

One Lap of Columbus for PTSD Awareness, Friday, July 6, 4pm - 11:30pm, Quaker Steak & Lube - Annual One Lap of Columbus for PTSD Awareness.  Brought to you by the Ohio G/Z/GTR Club, an Ohio-registered nonprofit organization.  Join us and participate in a fundraising awareness event to benefit military veterans affected by post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).  A presidential police escort will be provided by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The fifth annual “Miles for Smiles 5K Run/Walk,” presented by North Orange Family Dentistry, Saturday, July 28, 8am, North Orange Park in Lewis Center.  The proceeds from the race will benefit the Free to Smile Foundation. Free to Smile Foundation is dedicated to supporting and sustaining comprehensive, quality surgical and dental services to poor and underprivileged children and adolescents throughout the world. Triathlon for Hope (All Female), Saturday, August 18, 8am - 11am, Alum Creek State Park - This is the 7th annual all-female triathlon designed to raise awareness about early detection of breast cancer, research into eradicating the disease, recognizing the survivors and those living with breast cancer, and remembering those who have been lost to this terrible disease. The proceeds from the event are donated to local breast cancer organizations to fund breast cancer research and awareness activities. The past six years, the event has contributed several thousand dollars to local breast cancer charitable organizations through your participation in this triathlon.  LEARN MORE

Hike Ohio! - Novices of the outdoors - This group is for anyone who likes to hike and walk on nature trails, backpacking trails and just about anywhere in the great outdoors. We will get together for evening hikes on metro parks trails, gather for day hikes in the Ohio State park and forest system and maybe even do overnight trips if anyone is interested. The Orange Township Veterans Memorial is moving forward. There will be several ways that individuals and families, clubs, organizations and businesses can donate to help make it a reality! The memorial's cost will be paid for through donations, not township funds. Help recognize and celebrate those who have served our country! 

2018 Aquatic Center Season Pass Application Available! 

Download the 2018 Aquatic Center Season Pass Application.  Orange Township resident only.  2018 season will open for the 2018 season Wednesday, May 23, and close September 3, 2018 (Labor Day). Hours typically 11am - 8:00pm, 7 days a week, but may vary on special occasions. Contact pool for details. New Fall & Winter Hours!

The ReStore will be shifting its hours beginning Oct 1st. Open Tuesday - Saturday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Habitat ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers whose proceeds are used to build homes, communities and hope locally and around the world, helping to create a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Every Wed - 15% Military Discount with ID; Every Thurs - 15% Senior Discount, 60+ with ID.

MASH Military and Service Heroes Pantry - To reduce hunger throughout the Veteran and Active Duty communities of Franklin, Pickaway, and Delaware County, Ohio through our Outreach Program. In addition, we will concentrate on our low income and homeless Veteran population and promote self-sufficiency by making the best possible use of all available resources. M.A.S.H. Pantry is a non-profit 501(3)c charitable food pantry serving veterans, military families and survivors in the Greater Columbus Area.
