Thanks to everyone who participated in this year's Orange Township 3rd Annual Heroes Not Forgotten 5k Run/Walk, held on November 10th. It was an exciting event dedicated to honor our veterans. The money raised for this event will go towards the planned Orange Township Veterans Memorial that will be erected on the corner of Orange Rd and South Old State behind the old Town Hall. Fight For A Cure Fundraiser, Jordan's Guardian Angels, Monday, November 19, Taranto's Pizzeria - The daughter of a Lewis Center family has a very rare disease called Jordan's Syndrome (open flyer for more information.) This fundraiser is to help the family travel to meet others from around the world like her, along with the research team. 100% of the funds donated will go directly towards travel costs. Help Homeless Men. Volunteers provide a warm welcome and assist with coffee and snacks at A Place of Warmth at Zion.
Training for A Place of Warmth at Zion new volunteers and refresher with updates for past volunteers on Tuesday, December 4th, 2018, 7:00-8:00 pm at Zion United Church of Christ, 51 W. Central Ave., Delaware, OH. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. 2 hospitality volunteers are needed each time A Place of Warmth is open. Shifts are 8 p.m. - 2 a.m. and 2 a.m. - 8 a.m. An off duty Police Officer is present during registration.
